New Construction: This window type, although primarily used in a new building and installed from the exterior, is sometimes used in a replacement project. When frames and sills are in such disrepair and deterioration, or often when a siding replacement is also part of the remodel plan, a new construction window becomes the logical choice.

Replacement Inserts: One choice in considering window replacement is the insert. It may be just the right option if no frame rot is present, the window is square and plumb, and there is a concern for disrupting trim and exterior siding. Often referred to as “Replacements” they have much the same look and options as does a New Construction double-hung but it fits into the existing window frame. The frame, interior wall coverings and trim stay completely intact. A Replacement Insert is installed from the interior of the building.

Sash Kits: An option to a full replacement insert, a sash kit typically includes sashes, jamb liners, balances, stops and hardware.
